Skyrim Se Immersive Horses

Immersive Horses is a lightweight overhaul mod which aims to improve on nearly every aspect of horses in Skyrim while remaining as true as possible to the original game. Immersive Horses also implements a follower system designed specifically for horses and it adds a range of new commands and options for horses far beyond the simple vanilla mount and dismount functionality.OPTIONS Initially, any horse you acquire will display a horse options menu when activated:

If you have more than one horse, the "Manage Horses..." option will display a list of all of your horses. Choosing one from the list will display an extended menu for that horse with additional options:

If you'd prefer not to see the horse options menu every time, then you can use the Mod Configuration Menu (MCM) to map certain options hotkeys instead. This includes various commands such as Whistle, Talk/Search, Open Inventory, and display of the horse list menu ([H] by default). The default actions for standing, sneaking, and mounted activation can also be changed in the MCM. There is also an option to protect all horses from death by any source except the player. Additionally, followers can ride any horses you own if you use a follower overhaul mod that supports it, such as Extensible Follower Framework. It is possible to own a total of 40 horses.

I don't care about the name. This mod has been ridiculed unnecessarily because of it, particularly on Reddit and indirectly through a few new April fools "immersion" mods on the nexus. Is everybody going to continue mocking mods simply because they have the word "immersive" in the title? Outside of the Nexus comments section I've seen more criticism of the name than discussion of the actual mod. Even the new Immersive Compass mod has taken some criticism over its name, despite the name being very appropriate for it.

Whistling for horses is now integrated into the main mod. The Whistle mod is no longer necessary.Hotkeys are now unassigned by default and can be individually assigned or unassigned at any time. The 'All Horses' submenu is now the 'Herd Menu' and the options were renamed as well. The herd whistle/follow/wait commands no longer apply to dismissed horses.Hotkeys were added for the herd commands, as was a shortcut to the herd menu.Reduced horse gallop speed from 900 to 800, base health from 500 to 300, base damage from 14 to 12.Tweaked various breed stats in the Immersive Horses.ini to improve balance.Tweaked horse follow distance so horses follow further away and run into the player less.Limited the protected flag to apply only to horses the player owns, if the MCM option is enabled.Shadowmere and Frost are no longer protected by default. Use the MCM option instead.Removed horse name from the 'ride' option in the menu text.Added a toggle in the MCM to enable or disable corpse looting while mounted.Added a toggle in the MCM to enable or disable the display of status messages for horses.Added a toggle in the MCM to control if the last ridden horse appears nearby after you fast travel.Fixed bug where horses equip humanoid armor, but it only takes effect AFTER inventory is closed.Removed unintentional edit to Karinda horse.Added fast dismount hotkeys for dismounting to the rear, left, or right side of the horse.Moved all mounted hotkeys to their own section in the MCM.Hotkeys can now be preset and loaded from the Immersive Horses.ini file.Improved mount/dismount detection and hotkey registration script.Added None check to GetHomeName function for random horse encounters with no editor locations.Added the option to abandon horses to remove them manually from the horse list.Randomly encountered horses can no longer be claimed by the player and are excluded from horse options.Fixed bug where randomly encountered horses were not getting assigned to a breed in the INI.Reduced max stolen horse time to 3600 seconds (1 hour).Increased horse stamina needed for jumping from 5 to 10.

Just for the sake of argument - this mod allows you to control your horses in a much better way than vanilla and allows for your followers to use horses, which makes the game more believeable and allows for better immersion in the game world in effect :)

I have to say that i'm liking this mod more than Convinient Horses. The only thing that it misses is a feature for your followers so that they can ride horses. The author suggest EFF to take care of that.

This mod lets you name horses you own, which your followers could use, but something like EFF is needed to actually enable them to use it. I would definitely use this mod over Convenient Horses, but I like Horse Commands by Kuertee because it is lightest script-wise and accomplishes what I need- so it wins for me.

In the Vanilla Skyrim game, you could only have one horse that you own, usually obtained by buying it at the stables. With Immersive Horses, you can now claim horses by stealing them, taming them in the wild, or adopting them. As soon as you acquire one, it automatically joins the others in your herd.

...this mod once installed lets your follower have and ride a horse that will spawn near your last ridden horse. It works with stolen horses, quest horses, but of course works best with stabled horses.

Note:1 - I suggest you to never mount the follower horse, it may result in the follower mounting yours and after you dismount you'd have to catch your horse that tries to go back to stables.2 - You can fast travel but note that your follower may not be teleporting with you if you were mounted, IT IS NOT AN ISSUE tho your companion will come back after a while (specially if you transition to doors etc)3 - Once their AI kicks in followers are rather slow (they walk) to catch their horse ( just go.. they will catch up ).4 - The AI will not enter combat unless you dismount and so the normal behavior starts.5 - If your follower is very close to you and you dismount, they may not dismount at first... but once you start moving they will.6 - Follower horses are not owned by the player so they will show with Red name.. this is totally normal! they are not supposed to be mounted by you!7 - If for some reason follower horses aren't showing up, mount up on your horse and then dismount.. in few seconds follower horses should show up.

Horses for Followers will make new horses available to buy at all the main stables Better Follower Improvements will enable your companion to ride them and follow you. To make followers mount their steeds, all you need to do is mount your own and they will follow suit. When combat ensues, they will dismount and engage in combat as normal. The horses are set to avoid combat if possible, unlike the vanilla player's horse. Now that you have two horses to pay for, you will appreciate their increased survivability.

Convenient Horses for Skyrim Special Edition is... aimingto overhaul the horse system in Skyrim. Unlike its predecessor, it hasbeen built from the ground up to radically change the way you interactwith and use horses...

Immersive Horses is a lightweight overhaul for the horses in Skyrim built on SKSE64 and SkyUI SE. The goal of Immersive Horses is to improve on nearly every aspect of Skyrim's horses while remaining as true as possible to the original game. Immersive Horses adds a range of new commands and related options for horses as well as an integrated ownership and follower system designed specifically for horses.

Skyrim is known for its ability to give plan immersive experience in a fantasy-themed world with a ton of choices to make and characters to interact with. Unfortunately, the horses here do not come with the wide variety of features that most other elements of the game benefit from.

The mod lets you rename your horse, use a whistle to call it, change the ownership to use a stolen horse, and more. You can choose whether to ride the horse around or let it follow you to places instead of having to abandon it while walking by foot. The mod also includes herd commands that let you control other horses in your possession.

Skyrim has a few unique horses that are accessible after you complete quests for in storylines like that of the Dark Brotherhood. This mod overhauls all these horses to make them even stronger with boosted stats and new features.

This horse mod is simple. You just add it to your load order, and it immediately makes all the horses in the game faster. This covers all of their movement, including swimming, sprinting, running, and walking.

With this installed, you actually need to think about your horse. They can be trained, equipped with items, and encumbered. With those added concerns also come plenty of benefits, like improved mounted combat, harvesting ingredients and NPC interactions while mounted, horse calling, stabling, and naming, and follower horses that also allow them to engage in combat.

Another interesting mod is the Four Horses of the Apocalypse. These are new horses, which can be summoned anywhere, have custom textures and visual effects, and also have some special abilities. These abilities include burning enemies nearby, emitting toxic clouds which cause deadly diseases and sending locusts to to swarm and attack enemies. The developer of this mod got their inspiration from Red Dead Redemption Undead Nightmare.

Horses have always been a main feature of Skyrim, and have been in The Elder Scrolls franchise since Oblivion. While Oblivion's horses were nimble and weak, though, Skyrim's horses are slower and hardy. Until the release of Anniversary Edition, the only way to encounter horses in the wilds of Skyrim was by downloading a paid Creation Club addon. 2ff7e9595c
